Following up on the popular LunarGrand series, Cole Haan launched today its newest men’s shoe line, the ZeroGrand. By integrating innovation and craftsmanship, Cole Haan was able to create the lightest shoe ever from their product line, weighing in at less than 290 grams. In creating the ZeroGrand, Cole Haan considered Make, Mass and Motion to come up with a shoe for the future while integrating centuries-old broguing details. The seamless uppers use fewer parts which give the shoe a natural, relaxed feel and also adds to the reduced weight. The new cushioning system called the Grand O.S. acts as an ‘operating system’ for the feet that comprise three major characteristics: greater flexibility, reduced weight and increased cushioning. The ZeroGrand presents a highly engineered shoe without sacrificing design that appeals to both the modern businessman and the younger sneaker-loving generation.
The ZeroGrand comes in two kinds of materials for the upper, a reverse full-grain suede and a no-stitch, ripstop nylon upper. Both come with brogue detailing that decreases weight and provides breathability. The upper pieces are welded together to reduce the number of components of the shoe and reduce the overall weight. The ripstop nylon version retails at P13,800 and the suede version at P15,500.
