Paul George kicked off the Nike Summer Tour with a visit to China and the Philippines, igniting Asia’s passion for basketball in the 2015 Nike RISE Tour. After a few days in Beijing, PG arrived in Manila on Sunday and dropped in at Barangay Western Bicutan Tenement Court to invite 20 lucky kids to the opening of the House of Rise. Paul also participated in some of the games with the kids and even took some selfies with them.
Yesterday, Nike officially opened the House of Rise, where the 24 selected players will train under Coach Chot reyes and his team of coaches, and be part of a once in a lifetime experience. Paul George was available early afternoon for interviews and to officially kick off the Nike Rise program. Boom Gonzales hosted the presscon and asked PG to share his own Rise story. The main event happened at night and the 24 selected players were announced in front of a packed crowd inside the House of Rise. The kids went through on-court drills and showcased their talents, with Paul George joining in and helping them out.
