Asics continues to build on its impressive performance running line with the release of the new Gel-Kayano 23, which features enhanced stability and comfort over long distances. This latest model is a great addition to Asics’ award-winning Gel-Kayano line, with improvements in multiple areas that are critical for long distance runners, to make sure that they get superior stability and comfort all throughout their runs. Enhanced Stability Over Distance
GEL-KAYANO 23 features an upgraded GUIDANCE LINE. The guidance line’s slight angle towards the center of the shoe leads foot pressure load centrally through the foot to help guide runners and improve gait efficiency. GEL-KAYANO 23’s new last offers improved fit especially around the ankle, and delivers enhanced stability over distance.
Improved Comfort and Cushioning
GEL-KAYANO 23 also features GEL strategically built into the outer heel for better shock absorption. A new inclined position allows for a more central distribution of runners’ weight, delivering improved cushioning andenabling runners to maintain balance.
Lightweight Midsole
Weighing in around 330g[1] GEL-KAYANO 23’s midsole is built with two layers that work together to maintain the shoe’s light weight. The top layer of the midsole is comprised of SpEVA, a material that proved to deliver superb cushioning and resilience, whileASICS’ patented[2] FlyteFoam midsole makes up the bottom layer. Approximately 55% lighter than the industry standard, FlyteFoam is ASICS’ most advanced midsole technology.
